We’re quasi-geeks at heart and enjoy challenging the status quo.  Our team hails from a number of different countries and collectively has decades of experience in hospitality, marketing, and information technology.

Executive Team

  • Tim Dean-Smith


    Tim is a graduate of King's College London with a Law Degree LLB Hons, and has an MBA from London Business School & Haas School of Business, Berkeley, California. After spending a decade working in real estate in Europe he founded the Beach Republic Group, a hotel, real-estate, and resort development company, and built up Beach Republic on the island of Koh Samui. In addition he has founded several technology startups including Cube8 Group, Ibidlive, Polestar Space Applications, Mailkey and more.

  • Nathan Lyle-Vogts

    Chief Operating Officer

    A co-founder of U Say, with a double major in marketing and advertising, Nathan has spent over a decade working for a number of hotels and hospitality companies where he has developed a unique insight and perspective into the field. As COO, Nathan is instrumental in defining and implementing company strategy and is involved with U Say at both the development and sales and marketing levels.

  • Ben Howard

    Design Consultant

    Formerly in charge of developing websites for Peter Gabriel’s group of companies, Ben is currently Executive Creative Director at Shrimp Asia, one of South East Asia’s finest design firms. He is also Creative Director and a member of the startup team of AddressTalk.com, a unique social network for apartments and condos. Ben brings with him over 15 year’s experience in design, branding, UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience).
